Dhela Safari Zone

The Dhela area is located in the southern part of the Jim Corbett National Park and visitors visit this place in all seasons of the year. Jim Corbett’s Dhela area is surrounded by deep forests and covers an area of about 1,200 hectares. A wide variety of birds, tigers, sloth bears, and reptiles are found in this area and people can easily catch a tiger or two passing by. The area is surrounded by Sal trees, making it an ideal place for tiger hunting. Sambhar deer is another variety of deer found in this part and tigers feed on it because of its slow movements.

The Dhela area is open to visitors and tourists throughout the year and provides a remarkable view of various animals and birds. The grounds are also gorgeous to look at, and forest lovers would surely love the smell of trees like Bell, Mahua, and even Buckley. The Dhela Jim Corbett area has two trails leading to the wild forests that trekkers and visitors can visit within a stretch of 4-5 kilometers in the forest interiors. Being a prime area, this area is protected by rangers and forest officials to preserve the wildlife in its natural habitat and avoid human interference.
